Creative Art 2 is best for the advanced young artists. So moving away from fundamentals and basics since they already know these, we’re focused more on teaching some more challenging techniques. Usually an instructor will give a demonstration on a certain focus or technique, and students follow along. Afterward, students are given an assignment that utilizes that specific skill or technique to use within their art piece. Projects can take 2-6 weeks to complete depending on the complexity of the project or detail needed. Instructors will guide the students and ensure that they finish during the specific period of time given for that project, while giving feedback and help along the way. Students also experiment with different art styles, some more based in realism, some more illustrative to see what they like and how to develop their skills. Skillets include: framing & composition, advanced 3D forms, perspective, color theory, advanced shading and detail, blending colors, and advanced techniques of watercolor, colored pencil, graphite, and alcohol markers.
