General Itinerary

4/11/2025 - Friday

  • Students will meet up at at LAX no later than 6pm for 8pm flight.

  • Optional transportation from Studio ArtHaus to LAX and return can be arranged

    4/12/2025 - Saturday

  • Onboard

4/13/2025 - Sunday

  • Arrive at Fukuoka 10:30 am

  • Orientation Meeting

  • Getting to know your host family

  • Dinner with host family, Relax or explore the town

4/14/2025 - Monday

  • Activity: Fukuoka Tower

  • Activity: Team Lab

  • Lunch and shopping at Mall

  • Optional Additional Cost events: Animal or Kawaii cafes

  • Activity: PM Workshop, Japanese calligraphy painting “Sumie art”

  • Stay at host family house

4/15/2025 - Tuesday

  • Activity: Visit Japanese garden

  • Activity: Tea ceremony lesson my licensed master

  • Conveyor belt sushi lunch (included)

  • Activity: Japanese fake food sample making workshop

  • Stay at host family house

4/16/2025 - Wednesday

  • Activity: Visit Demon Slayer birthplace

  • Activity: Visit 1100 year temple, “Dazaifu shrine.”

  • Shopping

  • Activity: Explore Geothermal areas

  • Activity: Drawing Japanese nature with picnic

  • Dinner at Japanese western buffet

  • Explore: Game center, shopping, arcade, bowling, hot springs

  • Stay: Famous Hot Spring Hotel in Oita

4/17/2025 - Thursday

  • Breakfast at buffet in hotel

  • Activity: Visit Kokura castle

  • Picnic lunch included

  • Activity: PM Manga and anime museum

  • Explore: free time at manga building

  • Stay at host family house

4/18/2025 - Friday

  • Activity: Visit Anime Studio

  • Picnic lunch included in park

  • Activity: Visit Canal City mall

  • Optional Additional Cost events: Animal or Kawaii Cafe, Kimono wearing (2 hour experience)

  • Stay at host family house

4/19/2025 - Saturday

  • Spend time with host until noon

  • Arrive at Fukuoka airport (3pm departure )

  • Arrive at LAX 10:20am (4/19/2025)

  • Return back to San Diego (optional transportation from LAX to San Diego)

Price Breakdown of Trip

  • $4000 Early Bird Special for student register before September 5th, 2024

  • $1500 non-refundable deposit due on September 5th for air ticker purchase

  • $2500 balance due before December 10th, 2024.

  • (Required) Travel insurance (Additional Cost)

  • (OPTIONAL) $300 Suggested spending money for week of stay

  • (OPTIONAL) Transpiration from San Diego to LAX & LAX to San Diego at extra cost
