  • Students will meet at Arthaus5 Studio at 4:00pm on Friday, April 12th

  • Arrive at LAX for 8pm flight.

  • Arrive at Fukuoka 10:30 am

  • Orientation Meeting, relax at host home

  • Activity: Fukuoka Tower

  • Activity: Team Lab

  • Lunch and shopping at Mall

  • $ Optional Additional Cost events: (Owl, or Hedgehog cafe)

  • Activity: PM Workshop, Japanese calligraphy painting “Sumie art”

  • Stay at host family house

  • Activity: Visit Japanese garden

  • Activity: Tea ceremony lesson my licensed master

  • Conveyor belt sushi lunch (included)

  • Activity: Japanese fake food sample making workshop

  • Activity: Visit Demon Slayer birthplace

  • Activity: Visit 1100 year temple, “Dazaifu shrine.”

  • Shopping

  • Activity: Explore Geothermal areas

  • Activity: Drawing Japanese nature with picnic

  • Dinner at Japanese western buffet

  • Explore: Game center, shopping, arcade, bowling, hot springs

  • Stay: Hotel in Oita

  • Breakfast at buffet in hotel

  • Activity: Visit Kokura castle

  • Picnic lunch included

  • Activity: PM Manga and anime museum

  • Explore: free time at manga building

  • Stay at host home

  • Activity: Visit Anime Studio

  • Picnic lunch included in park

  • Activity: Visit Canal City mall

  • $ Optional Additional Cost events: Kirby Cafe, Capybara Cafe, Kimono wearing (2 hour experience)

  • Stay with host family

  • Spend time with host until noon

  • Arrive at Fukuoka airport

  • 3pm departure home

  • Arrive at LAX 10:20am

  • PM drive back to San Diego

Travelers Checklist

  • Double check the date on your passport, or make sure passport will arrive on time

  • Bring at least $300 spending money for shops and extra food

  • Make sure your suitcase does not exceed the airline weight

  • Make sure you have room for souvenirs on the way home, or you will be subject to extra charges.

  • Pack prescriptions if you have any, and let guides know about usage and handling.

  • Be sure to inform us al ALL allergies, and be aware of allergy difficulties on the trip.

  • Make sure enough clothes are packed for the trip, as well as toiletries and everyday items.

  • Students must be reminded to follow instructions and listen to tour guides when given instruction. Behavior is important. This is a must to ensure a smooth, safe, and fun experience!
