Come learn how to use tablet apps Procreate and Affinity Designer to create cool designs and illustrations from an iPad!
Both camps will feature their own unique lessons and exercises, and will teach its campers to create art in different ways (i.e. vector art vs. raster/pixel art)!

Digital Art Camp

Kids ages 10 and up are welcome in this camp! These two camps will go over raster/pixel art that can be made digitally, including portraits, narrative illustrations, simple drawings, and more!
Digital Art campers will learn an array of fundamental techniques and tips on how to use the Procreate application on the iPad like a pro! Procreate is a raster graphics application that is available on the iPad and is a program that is used by artists, both professionals and hobbyists, worldwide! Taking the exceptional capabilities of other computer digital drawing software and turning it into an intuitive, portable application, Procreate is regarded as a great art-making program.
Campers will make one or two illustrative pieces and some simple sketches in this camp; they will also learn the ins and outs of Procreate and will develop an understanding of the application itself, effectively encouraging them to learn more about how they can use the app in their future works beyond the camp. Digital Graphic Design Camp
Kids ages 10 and up are welcome in this camp! This camp is focused on vector art and designs that can be made digitally, including logos, landscapes, and more!
Digital Graphic Design Camp will go over the basics of the software we will be using for the camp (Affinity Designer) and how to create awesome designs with vector art in the app, such as creating shapes with the pen tool, creating gradients on objects, and making aesthetically pleasing patterns! Affinity designer is a powerful application that combines the capabilities of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop into one portable piece of software. Originally created to be used on a computer, its introduction as an app on the iPad has made it possible for more people to explore graphic design in a more accessible, fun way!
Campers will make one or two illustrative pieces and some basic designs in this camp; they will also learn how to navigate the interface of this advanced software, thus also giving them a basic understanding of how to navigate and use other art/design programs, such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
