These classes explore hand-building, Polymer Clay & Sculpting and beginner wheel throwing techniques, focusing on form, function, and creative expression through clay. Students learn foundational pottery skills such as shaping, building, basic trimming, and glazing in a fun, welcoming studio environment.
Whether your child is new to pottery or already enjoys working with clay, our kids and teens classes offer guided, hands-on instruction that builds creativity, confidence, and skills step by step—while encouraging each student to create pieces they’re proud of.
Hand-Building
for ages 8 yrs +

Hand building classes for our young artists offer a fun, hands-on way to explore clay in a more sculptural and imaginative way. Students will learn how to use slab, coil, and simple texture techniques to create platters, planters, cups, small sculptures, and other decorative pieces. After learning the basics, they’ll have the freedom to design and build their own masterpiece, bringing their ideas, characters, and stories to life in clay. All tools and materials are provided, so students can simply come in, get a little messy, and enjoy a relaxed, creative studio environment where they’re encouraged to experiment, problem-solve, and feel proud of what they make.
Wheel Throwing for Teens
for ages 10 yrs +

This weekly 2 hours wheel throwing class is designed for teens who are excited to learn how to make their own pottery on the wheel. Each week, students will build skills step by step—learning how to wedge clay, center it on the wheel, and pull up walls to create cylinders, bowls, and cups. As they grow more confident, they’ll explore shaping, trimming, and adding handles or simple surface details to make each piece uniquely their own. We will also learn basic glazing techniques, finish the pottery piece with color and personality, taking home fully fired, functional pieces they can actually use. With plenty of guidance in a supportive studio environment, students are encouraged to experiment, ask questions, and develop their own creative voice.

This Polymer Clay & Sculpting class is perfect for kids and teens who love details, characters, and colorful designs. Students will learn how to condition, shape, and blend polymer clay to create charms, mini figures, jewelry, key-chains, small decor pieces, and more. They’ll explore techniques like building simple armatures, adding facial expressions, creating textures, and combining colors for gradients and patterns. As they gain confidence, students will have the freedom to design and sculpt to bring their own ideas to life —whether that’s a tiny food collection, fantasy creatures, or custom accessories they can actually wear or use. The class emphasizes creativity, craftsmanship, and problem-solving in a relaxed, supportive studio environment.
